Boukari is a small town with a two kilometre wide beach, clustered with pebbles and sand. Virtually untouched by the tourism trade, Boukari is an idyllic stretch of coast situated south of the main road from Messongi.
The beach itself catches the sun for much longer than others in this area due to its curvature. It holds a small jetty and a beach taverna with thatched umbrella awnings which gives it a real taste of the exotic. There is a small hamlet of shops, tavernas and bars which are mainly frequented by the locals! There is a rough track running south along the coast which is ideal for keen cycle enthusiast which takes you right down to the discreet fishing village of Petriti, which hosts many impressive moorings in this busy working harbour.
