Skripero in North West Corfu

Traffic from the main road snaking around this northern coastline slows when it gets to the town of Skripero. It is seen by many of the locals as the traditional administrative centre of Northern Corfu due to its many small offices etc.
However, when you actually visit the town, you would be deceived by this image. It has a very peaceful and laid back approach to it, with many of the locals relaxing in the few tavernas dotted around the village throughout most of the day!
About 3km Northwest up the road lies Troumpeta, which is even quieter than Skripero. It is, however, an important town, as it marks the junction to Paleokastrista and Agios Georgios
