Dassia is 11 km from Corfu Town, and is a popular resort for all ages. Although close to the road, the shingle beach is spared from nearby traffic and many beachside cafes like others in the area.
The beach has a shingle surface and the shallow waters provide a perfect environment for those with young families. The sea does not house a ledge close to the waters edge, making it a safe environment to play!
Wooden jettys run the length way of the beach for boats and, more likely in the summer months, jet skis available for hire. Tamarisk trees line the beach, providing some shade during the hot summer months.
There are many hotels and apartments for holiday accommodation lying between the beach and the main route through which homes the bulk of the shops, bars and restaurants of the area. This is a lively resort with much to do for all age ranges, with the nightlife aimed towards the younger visitor.
